AI chess coach: ask about any move, see the answer on the board

Stockfish finds the best move. The coach explains it. Ask about any position of your games in plain words, and get an answer you can see on the board.

Mistake Blunder

Ask the way you'd ask a coach

"Why was 18.Qd2 a mistake?" "What's the plan here?" "What if I take on e5?" Ask about the position in front of you in your own words, and in your own language: the coach answers in the language you ask in.

Answers from Stockfish, not guesses

A language model alone gets chess wrong. So the coach doesn't answer from memory: it looks at the position with Stockfish and its own tools first, and what it says about moves and evaluations is checked against Stockfish. You get the engine's precision, explained the way a person would explain it.

Drawn on the board

The coach draws its ideas on the board: arrows for the moves, the key squares marked. Every move in an answer is a link: hover it to see the position, click it to play through the line.

Your own games, one click away

Link Chess.com or Lichess.org and your recent games are there to open. Stockfish reviews each one: a graph of the evaluation with your mistakes and blunders marked, and buttons that jump from one to the next. Then ask the coach what went wrong, and what to play instead.

In the voice you choose

A verdict and short lines, questions that lead you to the answer, or one idea in plain words: choose how the coach explains with a coaching prompt, or write your own.

Which AI models answer?

The ones on our models page, free and paid, each with what it's good at.

Can the coach be wrong?

It's built not to be: it answers from Stockfish's analysis, and its claims are checked. It's still an AI, so if something looks off, ask a follow-up, or play the line through on the board and see for yourself.

Can I ask about any position?

Yes: any position of your games from Chess.com or Lichess.org, or of any game you paste a link to, and any position you reach by playing moves on the board.
